About This Course
The aim of the course is to familiarize with the concept of nutritional science. To master the skill of determining the energy costs and energy value of food, the preparation of a diet for various groups of the population (children, youth, old age, nutrition for pregnant women and children of the first year of life), as well as for various types of pathology.
The course provides the necessary knowledge about human nutrition in the modern world. It is widely covered the concept of nutritional and biological value of food, as well as the diets of a healthy person and people suffering from various types of pathology. Practical tasks are presented in the form of tables or situational tasks. In the process of learning, students have the opportunity to communicate with the teachers of the department and with the course tutor via e-mail or directly at the department. At the end of the course a certificate is issued.
